YOUNGSTERS have been learning the Samba beats on a course which has helped produce some of the world´s best players.

The art of Futebol de Salao is being taught on a Saturday morning at St Elphins School, in Darley Dale.

The course teaches a positive approach and the children have a Futebol de Salao ball at their feet at all times, to make sure they feel comfortable with it.

It is being hosted by Brazilian Soccer Schools, who have taken lessons across the country.

Head coach Nick Cooke said: "The training is conducted in a friendly, positive and fun environment, and the skills development is quick and effective."
