BBC Radio Four's current affairs show 'Any Questions?' was broadcast live from St Elphin's School in Darley Dale on Friday night.

More than 500 people packed the school hall to see the programme, hosted by Jonathan Dimbleby, with ten of the audience selected to ask their questions to the assembled political figures.

The panel included Home Secretary the Rt. Hon. David Blunkett MP, Liberal Democrat MP Ed Davey, Conservative MP George Osborne, and American lawyer and Republican Colleen Graffy.

Subjects raised included the American election and its aftermath, regional devolution, police gun laws, and whether Reggae dancing was likely to take over from Morris dancing as an English institution.

Mr Dimbleby said: "The audience were great and as well as there being an excellent turn-out, we had some very good questions put forward to the panel.

"We always enjoy coming to Derbyshire and have been made very welcome by everyone here, for which we are thankful."
