A new gym was built in 1968 and was opened on 5th October, 1968 by The Duchess of Devonshire – a full report on the opening can be found in the 1969 school magazine. Unfortunately, the building was demolished circa 2008/09, as the brickwork was not in keeping with the stonework of the main school building which was going to form the basis of the plans for St Elphin's Park Retirement Village.
