The following photos show Mini Reunions which have been taking place in the UK since 2008 and are in date order, starting with the most recent first. Forthcoming Mini Reunion – June 2020
Following a mini reunion in London 2019 another one is to be held at Chatsworth House on 6th June, 2020 for old girls who took their ‘O’ levels in 1963 and/or ‘A’ levels in 1965. Please contact Catherine Clarke (nee Spencer) – cclarke@post.com.

April 2014
LtoR: Arlene Bailey-Garnier (1948-1957, Gresford) and her sister, Liz Bailey-Donlan (1967-1973, Gresford & Powys) were staying overnight at St Elphin's. It was the first time Arlene had been back since leaving school in 1957 and she commented that the weirdest thing was actually driving up front drive! Liz and Judy met up for an evening meal in The Orangery Restaurant at St Elphin's and Angie joined them for a coffee beforehand.

Back LtoR: Anne Marie Robinson-Harrison, 1968 to 1975 (Powys); Carrie Wareham 1971 to 1974 (Kennedy). Middle LtoR: Liz Bailey-Donlan, 1967 to 1973 (Gresford & Powys); Marianne Stewart-Jackson, 1973 to 1976 (Selwyn & Powys); Front LtoR: Gill Prescott-Haywood, 1968 to 1978 (Kennedy); Lizzy Atwell-Dickie, 1968 to 1975 (Pigot).

Carrie's mum, Elizabeth Carson, went to St Elphin's from 1940 to 1944 and was in Kennedy House. Unfortunately, she passed away on 23rd June, 2013 so some of the girls joined together to pay for Carrie to have two night's stay in St Elphin's House. In addition, 5 of the girls also managed to meet up with Carrie for lunch.

We took over the Bistro as Carrie had brought a suitcase full of memorabilia, from both her mum and her auntie (who also went to St Elphin's) and we took great delight in going through it all. Carrie still had her Kennedy House cloak and Gill was especially thrilled as Carrie kindly gave it to her. Gill is, of course,
sporting the cloak in the photo!

An added bonus whilst we were there was that two more old girls were having lunch in the Bistro and soon began looking at the 1971 school photo to try and spot themselves – Sue Measures (Wilson) and Susan Lees (Selwyn). Unfortunately, in the excitement, we didn't think quick enough to get them to join us for the photo shoot on front stairs!

LtoR: Ruth Parsons-Wallhead, 1948 to 1950 (Kennedy); Liz Bailey-Donlan, 1967 to 1973 (Gresford & Powys) and Joan Parsons-Wynne, 1948 to 1952 (Kennedy).

The three old girls met up for a meal in The Orangery Restaurant at St Elphin's Park and, of course, old school reports, photos etc were soon on the table!

July 2013
LtoR: Miss James, chemistry teacher 1963 to 1968; Liz Donlan, pupil 1967 to 1973 (Gresford & Powys); Miss Shearer, art teacher 1967 to 1969. Heather, Liz and Kate met up in Liz & Mike Donlan's garden. Although Liz had met up with Heather earlier in the year, 2013 was the first time she had seen either of the teachers since they left St Elphin's in 1968 and 1969 respectively.

It was interesting to hear that the staff were regularly put in their place by Miss (Maud) Robinson and that it wasn't just the pupils! Liz also showed Heather and Kate some of the comments they had written in her school report book!

Liz was at St Elphin’s from 1967 to 1973 - she spent the first 3 years in Gresford House and the last 3 in Powys House.

Gill was at St Elphin’s from 1968 to 1977 - she started off in Willowdene as a Day Girl and, from the age of 14, became a boarder in Kennedy House.

Marianne was in Powys   House from 1973 to   1976;
Beverley was in Powys   House from 1970 to   1976;
Jenny was in Wilson   House from 1971 to 1975;
Anne Marie was in Powys House from 1968 to 1975.

Marianne and Jenny were also best friends at primary school in Caythorpe, Lincolnshire, before meeting up again at St Elphin’s! Jenny has now moved to Perth, Australia.

Left: Pat Blake (now Kitching) and Ann Foster (now MacKenzie) meet up in Spain in September 2010 for the first time in 57 years!

Pat was at St Elphin’s from 1945 to 1952 and Ann was there from 1944 to 1952. Ann and her husband went to stay with Pat in Spain.

Right: The Upper V class of 1986 celebrated their communal 40th birthday party on 22 May, 2010 at Sinatras Restaurant in Nottingham and then all went to see 'Hot Flush' at the theatre.
